Icey's going to Ireland, y'all!

My plane leaves tomorrow morning and I have to wake up at some ungodly hour, but I'm just...trying not to think about that.

*is aviophobic like WOAH*

This is like a pilgrimage for me - I've wanted to go to Ireland ever since I can remember. It's the whimsical nerve-centre of celtic folklore, which I'm addicted to as it is, and there are so many places I want to visit.

Plus, the Irish accent is fa-a-abulous.

Double-plus, they breed the most gorgeous horses...although I may be a little prejudiced, seeing as Harry is half Irish Hunter on his sire's side.

But like a monkey in a storm-tossed yacht I've sailed off-topic, so I shall return to the point - I'll be gone for a week, until next Saturday, and unless I can get to an Internet cafe or summat I won't be able to get online at all in that time. Therefore, all messages and faves shall be answered when I get back...probably on Sunday. I need Saturday for the sleeping.

So, guess what song I've had going around non-stop in my head for the past week?

GODDAMN. However much I adore the musical, a week is a long time. I'll end up singing it in my sleep at this rate...

ANYWAY.

Moving swiftly on from phantoms and operas and songs-in-the-heads, life's been trundling along very nicely for me recently. Exams were all finished about a month ago, hurrah, and oh gods I cannot wait to drop English Literature - if I have to analyse one more poem, I'm going to tear my eyeballs out.

But I'm not here to talk about school. I'm here to apologise for the horrific lack of updates that I've bestowed upon you all - it really is unforgivable, but I haven't done any artwork for about three weeks.

No, I tell a lie. I have done artwork, I just haven't made it all pretty and shiny in PhotoShop yet. So when I finally yank my finger out and start 'shopping, I'm afraid you might get a sudden influx of art.

Especially as the new Star Trek film has whacked my muse back into first gear. I'm a Trekkie as it is, so this film really made me OHSOHAPPY. And since then I've gone back and rewatched the entire Original Series and fallen in love all over again, and seeing as I'm trying to improve my human anatomy, who better to practise on than the unfortunate crew of the Enterprise? (Sorry, guys, but you're my chosen victims.)

So, anyway, to sum up - sorry for the lack of art, but there'll be some pieces up soon, if all goes well.

On a final note, I recently adopted a new alley-cat - I now have seven, Dante, Ghost, X-Box, Eclipse, Lucy, Spock and Bones. The newest is the latter, named because I first saw him scrapping madly with Spock about a week ago. He's a lovely tabby tom, very friendly but more than a little dim-witted...still, at least he's not as thick as Spock, whom I the other day caught trying to shove his head through the tiny holes in the chicken wire.

Smooth move, Spock.

ANYWAYS, moving on. Why do I have a habit of getting into painfully, saddeningly expensive things? First MLP customising, with all the tools and hair and shit, then silver-making with the...well, silver, then cosplaying and now...now steampunk has joined the ranks.

OHGODS, I love steampunk. I've always found the style really unique and interesting, but just recently it's hit me just how FRICKIN' COOL it looks. But oh, it's so expensive. It makes me very sad. Roll on, paycheque...

Anyways again, speaking of cosplaying, my Scarecrow/Crane costume is now finished. Four months early. I don't like delaying. I'll give it a test-run at some point and take a few photos to post, just so you all can mock me.

I tell you, that mask is a BITCH to wear, but it looks pretty good. And with a little wheedling, my brother has agreed to make me some fear-toxin canisters to spray at people - although obviously not with toxin in them. Although that would be EPIC.



Might update this at some point, 'cause I've probably forgotten something I was supposed to say. Ah well.

HOMAHGAWD, it's Sunday. SUNDAY. Only a few more hours now - I got's to get my fix.

Just out of interest, does anyone here actually still watch Lost? Everyone I ask seems to have given up on it and I have no one to geek out about it with. I feel deprived.

I'll just have to geek out on my own.

And I swear to the gods, if they kill off Ben in any way (I know we've seen him in the future, but Hell - time-travelling bunnies, anyone?) I am going to be very, very upset indeed. So much so that I might cry. And then hurt some small furry creatures. I've loved Ben since he was still Henry Gale and will NOT be happy if he disappears. Especially now he’s looking rather sexy with his longer hair and black clothes *rawr*

On another note, oh my gods, I hate riding in the torrential rain - Harry does nothing but throw massive hissy fits and throw himself around all over the place. I swear I've pulled both the muscles in my upper arms from where he was ceaselessly tossing his head around...

Damned British weather. We're a nice little country (har-har), but our weather sucks ARSE.

I apologise most profusely for my unforgivable absence lately, but about two weeks ago I was attacked without mercy by the dreaded lurgy. It erased my ability to do anything at all that involved moment and left me a shivering, coughing wreck on the sofa, so picking up my GTab pen was certainly out of the question.

I got somewhat better over Christmas and was able to celebrate without too much difficulty, but the day after Boxing Day it was back with avengance, and this time it brought a lung infection with it.

Sooo, once again I find myself unable to function effectively enough to create any artwork and also once again I find myself lagging behind to a shocking extent on my requests, not to mention everything else on here...

Over the next few days I will do my very best to catch up with comments and faves, but artwork will have to wait until I'm feeling fully fortified again - when this will be, I'm not too sure, as I don't know how long it will take to fight the infection off.

Thank you ever so much for your unyeilding patience, all of you - I'm such a pain in the arse sometimes xD




Once again, I apologise extensively for my wretched absence and fully hope to be back with you all again in the near future.
