Whetmore Gender - Stallion Age - 4 Height - 13.8hh Parents - Lucian (sire) and Daymark (dam) Siblings - None Mate - None Foals None Physical Details - Short and compact, but quite slender. He's quite an appealing little pony, looking like something you'd see a little girl riding in her first showing class, or the like. Mane has a small cowlick just behind his ears. What Whetmore lacks in size, he more than makes up for in attitude. Brash, smarmy and sarcastic, he seems to make it his purpose in life to get right on the nerves of every other horse in the herd - a purpose that he fulfills with great gusto. Whetmore's appearance is very important to him, especially the state of his mane and tail - he can't stand to have them out of place. However, this can sometimes prove to be quite a feat to achieve, mainly because whereas other horses would enlist the help of their fellows when it comes to grooming, no-one would waste their time to do so for Whetmore, meaning he can often be seen twisting his head around every which-way in an attempt to flatten down a stubborn strand of hair that's just out of his reach. He has an ongoing rivalry against the second-in-command stallion Brutal - the two grate on each other's nerves to no end, and have more than once come to blows over one matter or another. Whetmore also holds especial grudges against the two stallions Delacroix and Wharton, for various reasons - Delacroix, simply because he can get away with it. The grudge against Wharton, however, is purely due to the anger of having a younger stallion, not much more than a colt, go out of his way to humiliate him - something that the sadistic Wharton, already towering over Whetmore at a gangly 16.1hh, does regularly, and with great enthusiasm. Lead-stallion Edgecomb and Brutal tend, rather conveniently, not to notice whenever this is going on - they both believe that Whetmore needs taking down a peg or two. Or three. Or four or five. In fact, pretty much the only reason they keep Whetmore around is because of his connections to other herds - if they were to kick him out, he'd go whining to one of his associates, who would no doubt then do their very best to overthrow Edgecomb and take control of the herd. Which is the last thing they would need. However, Whetmore's negative behaviour does have an reason - he wants respect, and he'll go to any lengths to get it, not understanding in his almost child-like mind that it can be gained through something other than fear. Also, he's embittered by the knowledge that he will never be as large and powerful as Edgecomb or Brutal - that he'll always be a scrawny, useless and irritating little runt to them. And more than anything, Whetmore hates to be seen as weak. And don't forget, in his own words - "I know people. Big people!" (Whoa now, that's one Hell of a long description. Oh well. Three pictures in a row of the same character. I love much? Recently started roleplaying with him too, and he's an absolute blast. Hilarious fun, he really is.
